Mitch Tambo

“We had an absolute blast hosting Mitch Tambo at our centre—I honestly don't know who had more fun, the educators or the children! Mitch was engaging, warm, and incredibly generous in sharing his culture and stories with us.” - Leane Townrow, Kirinari Early Childhood Centre

"It was such a great concert! Mitch Tambo is a fabulous performer and so generous and engaging with our audience." - Silvia Velez, Brimbank Writers and Readers Festival

“We first saw him at our Principal conference in Cape Schank and were excited to book him in for our school visit. I did wonder how he would bring things to primary level but he surpassed my expectations. He was highly engaging with the students and brought so much fun to his performance, the kids were dancing, singing and fist pumping the whole time. We continued the fun playing his music at lunchtime for our Wiggle Wednesday sessions and the kids were keen to sing along loud and proud.” — Gill Gray, Principal, Kingsley Park Primary School

Mitch Tambo is more than a performer, he is a powerful storyteller, cultural ambassador and qualified social worker who brings identity, culture and wellbeing into meaningful learning experiences.

An internationally recognised recording artist and First Nations advocate, he has performed on major stages around the world and connects audiences through music that celebrates culture, language and belonging. He is also the author of his debut children’s book I AM ME, released through Allen & Unwin, which explores themes of culture, identity and belonging for young audiences.

Through high-energy performances and honest storytelling, students are encouraged to explore identity, build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of culture, resilience and self-expression.
