Jaymon Bob

Jaymon Bob is a Rockhampton-born artist and proud Aboriginal man descending from the Ghungalu people. Blending contemporary pop, soul and R&B with an acoustic foundation, his music combines smooth vocals, strong hooks and honest storytelling.

Raised on country, soul and R&B, Jaymon developed a deep connection to rhythm and performance from a young age through traditional Aboriginal cultural dance. That foundation shaped his natural ability to connect with audiences and bring authenticity to every stage he steps on.

At 15, he picked up the guitar and began performing as a solo artist. In 2022, he played his first gig and first live show just a week apart, opening for Central Queensland favourites Busby Marou,  a defining moment that launched his live performance journey.

Drawing from lived experience, culture and personal growth, Jaymon’s songwriting balances vulnerability with commercial appeal. Whether performing stripped-back acoustic sets or full live shows, he delivers with warmth, polish and presence.

In 2025, Jaymon became a Top 6 Semi-Finalist on Australian Idol, introducing his artistry to a national audience.

He has since performed at major events including the 2025 National Indigenous Sports Awards, the 2026 NRL All Stars, the Greg Inglis Goanna Academy Gala and the 2026 National Apology Anniversary (Brisbane), toured across Far North Queensland, Central Queensland and South East Queensland, and supported Alex Lloyd, Brad Butcher and Busby Marou.

Jaymon Bob continues to grow as an artist, sharing music that reflects both where he comes from and where he’s headed.
