Isaiah has an incredible story. He grew up in Echuca-Moama, a small town on the Murray River, experiencing hardships shared by so many kids in our First Nations communities. Armed with a dream and a voice, Isaiah has transformed his life from a small-town singer into one of the most-streamed First Nations pop artists in the world.
Along the way, he has won The X Factor Australia, represented the country at the Eurovision Song Contest (placing ninth), and signed with Sony Music Australia. His debut single, It’s Gotta Be You, became a global hit, achieving double platinum status in Australia, platinum in Norway and Sweden, and gold in Denmark, and has now amassed over 310 million streams. Collectively, Isaiah’s music has notched up more than 400 million streams by the age of just 23, solidifying his place as one of Australia’s most successful First Nations male pop artists.
Isaiah’s live career has been equally remarkable. Just before the pandemic, he toured nationally with his band, performing 50 shows and workshops in remote and regional Indigenous communities. On Country, he worked with young people, sharing his story and inspiring others to believe that dreams can become reality through self-belief. As part of this tour, he performed his original song Spirit alongside children from communities facing hardship, which remains a career highlight.
Since then, Isaiah has continued to shine on screen and on stage, performing on shows such as The Masked Singer Australia (Season 2) and headlining major national events. One standout was his breathtaking Australia Day performance at the Sydney Opera House, where he sang live from the iconic Twelve Apostles in Victoria — a truly magical television moment.
Outside of music, Isaiah has emerged as a powerful advocate and author. His petition for Aboriginal history to be taught in schools gained more than 300,000 signatures and was formally tabled in Parliament in Canberra. He has also become a strong voice for education and reconciliation, inspiring a national conversation about teaching the world’s oldest continuing culture in classrooms.
Isaiah is also now a two-time best-selling author. His debut children’s book, Come Together – 20 Things All School Children Should Know About First Nations Culture, reached #1 on multiple bestseller lists, including Dymocks in December 2022. Building on that success, Isaiah has since released his second children’s book, which also became a bestseller, cementing his reputation not only as a chart-topping artist but also as a powerful storyteller and cultural leader for the next generation.
Musically, Isaiah continues to evolve, releasing heartfelt singles such as More Than Me and travelling to the US to collaborate with Grammy Award-winning producer and songwriter Poo Bear (Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé).
